What is QuickBooks Reports Exporter?

QuickBooks Reports Exporter is a Google Sheets™ add-on published by Cody Labs. It connects to your QuickBooks Online company through the standard OAuth flow, and lets you save exports for Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Cash Flow, Aged Receivables, Aged Payables, Customer Sales, and Vendor Expenses reports. Choose the report type and a date range, including relative ranges resolved at run time. It is a companion to QuickBooks Bulk Importer: that add-on validates and pushes invoices, bills, and customers into QuickBooks, while this one reads reports back out. Your data flows directly from QuickBooks to your spreadsheet: we operate no servers and never receive your financial data. See the privacy policy for full details.

What it does

Eight report types

Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Cash Flow, Aged Receivables, Aged Payables, Customer Sales, and Vendor Expenses.

Relative date ranges

This month, last fiscal quarter, this fiscal year to date, and more, resolved at run time.

Scheduled refresh

Manual, hourly, daily, or weekly refresh of saved reports.

OAuth connect

Connect a QuickBooks Online company through the standard OAuth flow; tokens stay in your Google account.

How it works

Three steps, all inside the sheet you are already working in. Your QuickBooks connection never leaves your Google account.

  1. Connect your QuickBooks company

Open the sidebar from Extensions › QuickBooks Reports Exporter and sign in with QuickBooks. The add-on stores your connection only in your Google account, never in the spreadsheet.

  2. Save a report

Pick a report type and a date range, including relative ranges that are recalculated every time the report runs.

  3. Refresh manually or on a schedule

Run a report now, or set it to refresh hourly, daily, or weekly. If your connection needs reauthorizing, the sidebar tells you clearly.

What you need before you start

  • A QuickBooks Online company, and a user account with access to the reports you want to export.
  • A Google account, and edit access to the spreadsheet you want to report into.
  • Nothing else, there is no server to set up, and QuickBooks data never leaves your sheet.
