Schedule a Pipedrive Export to Google Sheets

Keep pipeline reporting current without downloading and replacing CSV files.

Skipping the CSV file entirely

Pipedrive's own export writes a CSV or Excel file you then have to import into Sheets by hand. See exporting Pipedrive to Google Sheets for what that native export covers and where the file-based workflow breaks down.

Choose one entity and purpose

Start with deals for pipeline reporting, people for contact operations, or organizations for account reporting. Select only the standard and custom fields the sheet needs; fewer columns make refreshes faster and dashboards easier to maintain.

If the sheet also pushes edits back into Pipedrive, deals need extra care: Pipedrive has no name-based duplicate check for deals the way it does for people and organizations. See why reimporting deals into Pipedrive creates duplicates before setting up the push side.

Design for refresh

  1. Keep Pipedrive's record ID and update time in the raw tab.
  2. Put formulas, pivots, and charts on separate tabs.
  3. Run a manual refresh and compare record counts and filters.
  4. Schedule only after the connected account's permissions are verified.

Match cadence to the report

Use hourly refresh for an active sales-operations board, daily for management reporting, and weekly for planning. Avoid schedules that outpace how often the source data meaningfully changes.

Custom fields have their own limit

Choosing custom fields for the sheet runs into a separate ceiling: Pipedrive's API accepts at most 15 custom field keys per export request. See why your Pipedrive export is missing custom fields for how to work within it.

Save the export once

Pipedrive Bulk Importer & Exporter stores the field selection and refresh schedule inside Google Sheets.
