Start with a clear update key
Bulk Importer for Zendesk works with user, organization and ticket templates. For existing users, include the known Zendesk ID where possible. Keep one row per intended record and check IDs against the source system before importing. An ambiguous match should be resolved before you write; a name alone is not a reliable unique identifier.
Install and connect
Install the add-on from Google Workspace Marketplace. Open your spreadsheet using the same Google account, then open Extensions → Bulk Importer for Zendesk. Connect using your Zendesk subdomain, agent email and API token. Use an account with the permissions needed for the operation. Never put credentials in cells or share them with people who only need the workbook.
Generate the Users template
Choose Users and create a template tab. The add-on loads dropdown values from your connected account. Keep the generated headers intact and populate the rows you intend to change. Retain a copy of the source values before updating a large set of records.
Read the validation results before pushing
Refresh the live lists and run Validate rows (dry run). Check the count of creates and updates against your intention: if an update appears as a create, stop and correct its matching fields. Resolve blocked rows and warnings before choosing Push valid rows. Validation prepares the change; the push is the step that writes to Zendesk.
Reconcile results and retry carefully
Read the per-row Push Result and the append-only Activity Log. Confirm the resulting records through their Zendesk links. If a job is still processing, use Check pending jobs before retrying it. Do not assume every row succeeded just because the batch was accepted. The current interface limits a push to 2,000 rows and asks you to reopen the sidebar to check jobs that outlive an execution.
