Excel Upsert Importer (the “app”) imports rows from an Excel file into your monday.com boards, updating existing items and creating new ones. This policy explains what the app accesses and how that data is handled. The short version: your file is read in your browser and your data flows directly to your monday.com account — Cody Labs operates no servers and never receives, stores, or transmits your file contents or board data.

Information the app accesses

• The Excel file you choose — parsed locally in your browser session inside monday.com. The file is not uploaded to Cody Labs.
• Your monday.com board data — the columns and items of the board you import into, read and written through monday.com’s API using the session monday provides to installed apps.
• Your monday.com user directory — when you map a spreadsheet column to a People column, the app looks up users by email address through monday.com’s API so it can assign the right person.
• Your plan status — the app checks your subscription tier through monday.com’s SDK to apply free-plan limits.

Where your data goes

The app runs inside monday.com as an embedded app. Rows read from your file are written to your board through monday.com’s API, within your own account. Your data is not sent to Cody Labs or any third party. We have no database and no server that could receive it.

Credentials

The app never asks for or sees your monday.com password. It operates under the permissions monday.com grants installed apps for your account, which you can revoke at any time by uninstalling the app.

Billing

Subscriptions are handled natively by monday.com’s marketplace billing. Cody Labs does not receive or store your payment details; see monday.com’s privacy policy for how they handle payment data.

What the app stores inside monday.com

To support its features, the app keeps a small amount of data in monday.com’s own app storage (monday.storage), which lives inside your monday.com account and never reaches Cody Labs:

• Column-mapping presets — so re-importing a file with the same columns restores your previous mapping.
• Undo data for the last import — on paid plans, the IDs of items the import created and the previous values of the columns it changed, kept solely so you can undo that import. It is replaced by your next import and removed when you undo or uninstall.

Data retention and deletion

We retain nothing on our own systems, because we receive nothing. Imported data lives on your monday.com board; presets and undo data live in monday.com’s app storage as described above and are removed when you undo, are superseded by a newer import, or uninstall the app.
