Excel Import & Export for Jira, published by Cody Labs. Effective 21 July 2026.
Excel Import & Export for Jira (the “app”) exports Jira issues to Excel workbooks and imports edited spreadsheets back into Jira. It is built on Atlassian Forge and runs entirely on Atlassian’s cloud platform. The short version: your issue data is processed in your own browser, inside Jira, acting as you — Cody Labs operates no servers and never receives, stores, or transmits your issue data, your files, or your credentials. Zero data egress by design.
read:jira-work, write:jira-work).read:jira-user), subject to each user’s Atlassian profile visibility settings.storage:app).Nowhere outside Atlassian. Exports are generated in your browser inside the Jira page and downloaded straight to your device. Imports are parsed in your browser and written back to Jira via Atlassian’s own API, as you, with your permissions — the app has no admin powers and can never do more than your Jira account can. There is no Cody Labs server, database, analytics endpoint, or third-party service in the data path.
The only thing the app persists is your saved export templates and mapping presets — names, JQL strings, and field lists, never issue data — kept in Atlassian Forge hosted storage, which lives inside Atlassian’s infrastructure and is subject to Atlassian’s security and data-residency commitments. Each user’s templates are visible only to them. You can delete them in the app at any time; uninstalling the app removes its stored data per Atlassian’s Forge data-lifecycle policies.
The app is sold as Paid via Atlassian: Atlassian handles all checkout, invoicing, and payment details. Cody Labs never receives your payment information.
Because we operate no systems of our own, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Exported files live on your device, under your control. Templates and presets live in Forge storage on your Jira site and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app.
That is the complete list — no analytics, advertising, or tracking services are used.
