Excel Import & Export for Azure Boards, published by Cody Labs. Effective 26 July 2026.
By installing or using Excel Import & Export for Azure Boards (the "extension"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.
The extension exports Azure Boards work items matching a saved query or WIQL to an Excel (.xlsx) workbook, and imports edited spreadsheets or CSV files back as work item creates and updates — matching rows by work item ID where present. It runs entirely inside the Azure DevOps web UI, as the signed-in user, with that user's permissions.
A free plan allows 250-row exports per workbook and 25-row imports per run. The Pro plan (US$19/month per Azure DevOps organization) removes both caps and is sold through Gumroad as a bring-your-own-license product; Gumroad's payment terms and refund policy apply to billing. You unlock Pro by entering the license key issued at purchase.
The extension acts with your Azure DevOps account's permissions and can never exceed them. Imports modify real work item data: the extension always shows a dry-run preview of every change before anything is written, and you are responsible for reviewing that preview and for the changes you choose to commit. You must have the right to access and modify the work items you export and import.
Do not use the extension to violate any law, infringe others' rights, exceed Microsoft's API terms, or attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service beyond what applicable law permits.
The extension is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that exports and imports will be complete or accurate in every case. It depends on the Azure DevOps platform and APIs, which we do not control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cody Labs is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for data loss, arising from use of the extension — including changes committed to work items after the dry-run preview. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
You or your Azure DevOps organization administrator may uninstall the extension at any time. We may suspend or discontinue the extension with reasonable notice where practicable.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by the effective date above. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
